For the last couple of years, I dropped off the face of the Earth with blogging. For those who know me, you’ll know that I’ve been very active on social media, as well as active in the local software and data community in Salt Lake City. So I’m not a complete hermit.
But, I’ve lately grown fond of writing in a longer format. Social media tends to award short attention spans and bite-sized nuggets of information. Following this line, social media consumption is a lot like eating from a bottomless box of kids cereal – sweet, addictive nuggets of crunchy goodness that leave you feeling ill after a while. While I’m still active on social media, I’m going to use my blog as a way of developing, clarifying and sharing my ideas in a longer and more thoughtful format.
What to expect – weekly blog posts at least once a week, as well as a more frequently published list of articles and books. If you know me, you’ll know that I’m a reading machine, and people are constantly asking me for advice on what to read. With this revised blog, I’ll do my best to give you something worthwhile.
